While in medical school, a course in medical jurisprudence planted the seed that would later blossom into Dr. Herman’s passion for helping people injured at the hands of medical professionals. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Herman completed a rotating internship at St. Thomas Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, where he earned the Resident of the Year award for his outstanding clinical skills. Following his internship, he successfully completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio, with an overall focus on major vascular anesthesia and spent six months in high risk OB anesthesia. He successfully completed a Fellowship in Critical Care and Trauma at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital/Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Herman previously served as the Director of the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (where he was awarded a clinical commendation) at a teaching hospital in Northeast Ohio. Since 1998, he has not had an Ohio medical license and he has not practiced medicine in the manner defined in Ohio Revised Code 4731.34, but instead has dedicated himself to assisting plaintiff’s attorneys in their pursuit of justice for their clients, “because the truth should not be a casualty of litigation.” ®.
